Castle Rock Lake is a man-made lake located in central Wisconsin, United States. The lake is a popular destination for boating, fishing, and water sports, as well as camping and hiking in the surrounding state parks and forests. With over 13,000 acres of water and 60 miles of shoreline, Castle Rock Lake is the fourth-largest lake in Wisconsin. It was created in the 1950s when a dam was constructed on the Wisconsin River. The lake is named after a nearby rock formation that resembles a castle. It is located about 30 miles north of Wisconsin Dells and is known for its clear waters and secluded location.
